We have been reseraching public art for some of our urban regeneration schemes. It has struck us that most of it is very poor. It generally lacks any meaning, is poorly located, poorly made and maintained and is generally a developers after thought.
It woudl be easy to list bad examples, we want to find examples [...]

Nice image of an offshore windturbine being erected. One 3 Mega Watt turbine apparently costs about £3.5m* and would generate enough power for around 1500 homes. The city of Portsmouth has 80,000 homes, fifty-five turbines would power the city at a cost of around £200m. One Spinnaker Tower cost £36m! Interesting……
